Say Good-Bye to Pimples!

If you’re agitated with the pimples on your face, you have come to the right place! The following few paragraphs give you a short and sweet guide that can help you get rid of acne for good. So, what’s the wait for? Read on!

The very first thing you need to do is to get your meal intake patterns in order. The saying “as you sow, so shall you reap”, applies exactly to the eating habits too. If you eat healthy, you will be healthy too. You will look and feel better. All your skin problems, pimples on your face, annoying acne, all will go away. You need to take a balanced diet which should include a fair proportion of all nutrients that you need to function with energy; Omega 6 and Omega 3 fatty acids too.

Okay – so let’s see what high levels of bloody sugar and refined carbohydrates do to your skin. When you consume a high quantity of sugary foods, your body produces equally high amounts of insulin. The insulin is produced to control the glucose spike that occurs in the body. The insulin then produces excessive hormones which eventually turn out to show as pimples on your face and acne. Therefore, to get rid of pimples on your face, you need to control your sugar and carbohydrate intake.

In addition to that, you need to take a balanced diet rich with Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids which are extremely vital for your body. However, the problem is that the current ratio of Omega 3 to 6 in the modern Western diet (that includes fast food, deep fried foods, pre-packaged cakes and snacks with a longer shelf life) is 1:20 which is very unhealthy for your body, as compared to the previous ratio i.e. 1:1, which was sufficiently healthy and the right amount of nutrition for your body. The unbalance of both fatty acids can be inflammatory for your body and immune system and can flare up your acne and pimples on your face.

The best way to increase Omega 3 intake to prevent pimples is to eat more oily fish and leafy greens (like broccoli and spinach), nuts and walnuts for snacks. You can also supplement Cod Liver Oil for greater Omega 3 intake.

Externally, you need to use a moisturiser and exfoliant on a regular basis to keep your skin fresh and glowing. You must moisturise your face on a daily basis where as an exfoliant should be sufficient to use couple of times a week. This keeps all your pores free of germs and blockages; also, it helps the skin breathe. Moreover, it helps to get rid of all the dead skin from the face. Make sure to use an oil-free moisturiser and a mild exfoliant.

In case you have any obstinate spots, apply some lemon juice twice, daily. Ensure that you apply it to the individual spot and not the entire surrounding area of the spot. If consistently applied, lemon juice can effectively treat scars from acne and kill the pimples on your face.

The key to successful acne treatment is to be consistent and motivated until you feel a change and notice some favourable results.
